Items that may require council action: None
Items that may require budget/finance coordination:
Is there money to provide modest scholarships to adults for continuing education, similar to scholarships we provide to confirmation students? Recommend up to $50 per person per year, but not to exceed $500 total (10 scholarships) per year. Anita will discuss this with Stewardship; may need to be a new budget item for next year.
Is there money to order a subscription to “The Little Lutheran” for all children starting sunday school? Anita will look into this and get back to us with costs.
Have budgeted $1,100 for equipment. Anita and Donna recommended purchasing several screens and a computer projector. Committee concurred and requested Anita and Donna to research prices for our next meeting.
Important items of information:
Existing task forces. History subgroup is up and running, meeting monthly. They are looking for more information on Pastor Robert Hendricks, who was ordained at FELC in the late 1950s; Teacher Recruitment Task Force has made good progress on invitations to visit classes April 13, and there are already several signed up. There will be a strong focus on getting teachers scheduled for next year by the end of this school year; VBS Task Force has completed their work.
New task forces envisioned. Preschool curriculum needs to be reviewed. A task force will be charged with doing so.
Traci Diehl will no longer handle mailing of “SPLASH” newsletter for new parents, but Lisa Bernades has agreed to take on the task. Thanks to Traci for her many years of good work!
Confirmation program evaluation replies are coming in and will provide lots of good information to help us improve the confirmation program.
Bethel: Mary Catterton has received approval to teach Bethel Bible at other locations (i.e. non-Bethel member churches) in Appleton and FELC has agreed to be the agency through which her material orders are placed (orders have to be placed through a Bethel member church).
Summer program schedule:

June 15-20: Confirmation Camp at Imago Dei Village
June 29 July 3: FamSERVE Mission Trip - Crossways Camps at Imago Dei Village
