·        Motivation – Meeting multiple venues

·        Giving an offering is an act of worship vs. a collection

·        Giving up control – Become convinced that what I have is not mine

·        Focus needs to be on willingness to give, giving up control; rather than how much am I ‘obligated to give’- Giving is an opportunity NOT an obligation

*      Cindi presented the outline she had compiled regarding FELC music: Committee noted a few additional statistics and informational items need to be added. Cindi agreed to forward the revised outline to the committee.  Thank you, Cindi, for your work.

*      Cindi, Walt and Jenell will attend the synod-sponsored forum on stewardship practices 6:30-8:30, Thursday, May 15, at Prince of Peace Lutheran, 2330 E Calumet, Appleton. Anyone is welcome to attend; there is no registration or fee.

**Steve, please let either Pastor Detweiler or Jean Monson know what class you will be attending. Thank you.

*      FELC Celebration Sunday will be held Nov. 9, 2008, at all five worship services. We will not have a special speaker. Each Sunday, 4 weeks before Celebration Sunday, there will be generational testimonial-style Temple Talk and presentation.
