Items proposed to Support
·
Old business:
Ø Corcoran Glass
invoice for the DS safety rail project was paid. John N. picked up the posts
and hardware which will be stored at the DS in the elevator equipment room,
until this project moves forward again.
Ø Arrangements have
made and coordinated that on Monday, April 14, Boldt will supply a 120-ft.
crane and crane operator at $200/hr. for the crane and hourly wage of operator;
Scott Bastein of ARL will do the necessary copper flashing repair and
inspection; Pella window will be resealing the perimeter of each window in the
NS sanctuary cupola.
Ø Update on NS sewer
and water installation: Walt will revisit this issue.
Ø Paul Barth has
accepted the position for the Downtown Site building maintenance. He will begin
on May 1, 2008.
Ø Brenda will work
with Jack’s Maintenance to finalize the needs for their services.
Ø Jack’s Lawn and
Garden will be contracted to do spring cleanup at both sights and will continue
to mow the lawn at the NS this summer. Paul will maintain the DS.
Ø The committee
discussed the Durkee Street rental property concerning use of the garage for
FELC equipment and worship in the park supplies. Walt will meet with
New business
Ø Central Temp yearly
maintenance contracts are up for renewal. Brenda, Paul and Jenell will review
contracts and have Bill Hoffman rewrite the contracts to adapt to Paul’s
position as maintenance person.
Ø Jenell will contact
Pastor Quello to get more information about the blue silk material that was
removed from the NS sanctuary due to fire code. (Was it donated? If so, by
whom? Other uses of this material?)
Ø Pastor Dave wanted
to inform the property committee that 4’x 9’ banners have been donated to the
NS. Someone on the worship committee has volunteered to make stands for them
and they will be placed at the front of the sanctuary against the pillars
between the windows.
Ø Two contracts were
signed, April 10, with ARL to repair the leak in the roof by Anita’s office and
repair the roof in the small courtyard which has been leaking into the boiler
room. The cost of these two repairs is equivalent to the cost of the yearly
maintenance contract for both buildings which was due for renewal. The yearly
maintenance contract will not be renewed this year. We will revisit the need
for this contract during the preparation of the 2009 budget.
Next meeting: 6 p.m., Monday, May 5
