Important items of information:

New members, Linda and Dong, were introduced.

General discussion on member care

• Brainstormed how to get congregational members interacting with each other.

Goal: Every person part of the church community.

Objectives:

1. Identify groups/individuals needing attention

2. Track similarities/overlaps in personalities/interests

3. Look at compatibility, how are we going to “match” people?

4. Keep members engaged

5. Instruction on how to do this and how to communicate this idea

to the congregation.

b. We want this to be natural and eventually get the congregation to feel that “this

is just the way it is”

c. Take away: team members to think more about how we are going to tackle

this undertaking, more discussion next month.

• Chili Cook-off

Theme: Herbrich’s Health Chili

a. Deni Lundwall will make the chili for the cook-off, to be assisted by Elizabeth

Hensel at the cook-off. Kelly and Eric Thompson will also be there to

volunteer at the event.

b. Booth will be decorated with the “Volunteer Fair” boards and will showcase

all the upcoming events sponsored by Congregational Life.
