Important items of information:
- History subgroup will schedule next meeting in
2008. Julie Nussbaum will schedule a meeting. Mil provided an archive
resource.
- Nov. Teacher Appreciation completed –
prayer/note written by Pastor Dismer and treat.
- Gloria
Luebke will join the LMT. Mil looking for a library representative to the
LMT.
- LMT 2008 budget is revised to the 2007 levels.
Have used 76 percent of 2007 budget. Completed list of 2007
results/accomplishments.
- Decided to continue the church group
subscription of 50 copies of “The Lutheran Magazine.” Plan to publicize
individual subscription option, too.
- Activity bags – waiting to hear from Mrs. Heil
who made the suggestion. May offer “Little Lutheran Magazine” (for ages 6
and younger) for use in church in addition to children’s bulletins.
- C3 e-Confirmation – increase publicity for
subscriptions to this great e-mail resource to keep confirmation
students/families informed. Go to www.felc.com and click on “Sign up for free e-mail updates” to subscribe. Andy is working on a Family
First e-mail connection also. Both reflect the 2008 emphasis “Four Keys
for Nurturing FaithLife in the Home” by the Youth and Family Institute.
- Thanks to Eileen for writing the LMT Annual
Report. Reviewed and accepted for publication. Thanks to Eileen who
completed her 3-year term on LMT. She will be going south for the winter.
- Library Book Fair: $364 profit from sales. Mil
showed many new DVD’s and resources purchased with some of the profits.
Thanks to Sara Laumer for super saver shopping for the DVD’s. Property oversight
reviewing request to move the North Site library into the office. Downtown
may empty a bookshelf in Adult Ed room and move to DS library.
- Reviewed Vision 2012 document from Council. Recruitment
of LMT chair and new members continues.
- To do: Review ELCA “Book of Faith: Lutherans
Read the Bible” initiative for 2008. Mil provided information.
- Next meeting 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at the
Downtown Site.
