FELC communications update
Web site traffic
in December averaged 137 hits/day, with the top 2 days
being Dec. 23 and 24, with 196 and 291 hits, respectively. The most popular
pages: newsletter, devos, announcements, staff and pastors.
Welcome/Connection Center update
The center
is in the design phase. It was suggested that a task force be established to continue
developing and implementing the Connection Center.
Review 2007 goals
The team
discussed strengthening stewardship, increasing member participation and
improving new-member acclimation and agreed that we should prioritize goals. The
team stressed the importance of tabulating the interests of new members to keep
them engaged. It was questioned whether we could enlist the help of volunteers
to enter member demographics into the church’s ACS data base. Jan will follow
up.
Growth & development
The team
discussed advertising and marketing strategy and concluded that members on the
team do not have expertise in these areas. We don’t know how to measure the results
of our current advertising and marketing programs. It was suggested to develop
a survey targeting newer members to get feedback on informational materials,
the new member orientation process and our current methods of member
engagement. The team will forward their ideas for the content to Bob Heil.

New Member Sessions
The
sessions will be held on Wednesdays during LIFT. Rather than having ministry
team members address new members, we are recruiting ministries within the
church to help new members see where the life of the church is. There’s more
emphasis on ministries within the church. The first New Member Session is Jan. 16.
Chili cook-off display
Our team
will feature white chili and cornbread at the Feb. 24 event. Come to next
month’s meeting with a chili recipe and a theme!
