Outreach & Social Ministry Team minutes

Important items of information:

· New Co-Chairs have stepped forward and they are Jeff Bemis and Jeff Cieslik.

· ECHOES Gift and Thrift hosted students from Highlands Elementary School for a special outing. The event was successful.

· The May focus for Outreach will be the Issue of Housing. Our local emphasis will be Thrivent Builds, with Habitat for Humanity. ECHOES will be having specials on House wares and will seek donations of power and hand tools to go along with our focus. Sunday schools youth will be participating in various projects.

· We would like to begin to establish relations with our sister congregation in Rustenburg, South Africa. The name of the congregation is Phalane Lutheran. Please pray for the members of this church and our own as we seek to develop meaningful relationships.

· Time and Talent review and write ups were accepted by team.
