Important items of information:

The terms of Jeff Boettcher and Annette Ford end in February 2009.

To recruit new ministry team members we will call all parents of children in Grades 1-6.

The team discussed forming a Confirmation Banquet Planning Committee. Kathy emphasized the importance of starting early, coordinating meetings with Lenten meals. Yvette is to provide Kathy with names and phone numbers of eighth-grade parents. Kathy will make contacts to serve on committee.

Yvette will send a letter composed by Andy to returning interns, inviting them to attend and help with the chili cook-off/auction on Feb. 22.

Kathy suggested doing a Kwik Trip fundraiser, offered to research the feasibility and possibly be in charge.

Andy proposed that we need to seek out parents to take on certain responsibilities for him; e.g. fundraising chairperson, transportation specialist, etc. He will compose a letter that will be sent to all parents of youth at FELC, requesting their assistance.

Andy suggested we survey the congregation about the youth program. John suggested an online service called “Survey Monkey” to create our survey. Andy will pencil up key points to be asked in the survey. Creator of the survey and distribution method is yet to be determined.
